Diabetes Friendly Entree Recipe - Cheesy Stuffed Burger
Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 ounce part-skim mozzarella
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon minced red onion
- 8 ounces extra-lean ground sirloin
Directions:
- In a small bowl, gently mix all the ingredients except the mozzarella.
- Divide the mixture in half.
- Form each half around a piece of the cheese, and shape into a thick pattie.
- Grill or broil the hamburger to desired doneness.
